Project
Construction of three purpose-built sound stages using oversized insulated tilt-up panels, alongside a 400,000 sq. ft. big-box industrial facility at Boundary Bay Airport.
Challenge
The sound stages required exceptionally large tilt-up panels, nearly 63 feet tall and 12 inches thick, demanding custom extended bracing, precise tolerances, and carefully managed erection logistics. The scale of the work required seamless coordination across surveying, concrete, panel construction, and heavy crane operations.
Solution
The project was delivered fully in-house, from surveying and layout through foundations, panel construction, embeds, quality control, and erection. Custom bracing systems and detailed planning enabled the safe pouring and lifting of oversized panels using crawler cranes up to 300 tons, resulting in a controlled, efficient build that met the structural and performance demands of large-scale industrial and studio facilities.
